His deep connection to his Salvadoran roots inspired decades of volunteer work with humanitarian and educational non-profits in Central America. David recommended El Salvador as ISP's first partner country, recognizing its transformation "from post-war social and political struggles to becoming a nation advancing at light speed for the betterment of its citizens and the Central American region.
